BACKGROUND
Bruce Nurseries is a plant nursery in Davidsville, Pennsylvania with a rich 75-year history. They are located on a picturesque 65-acre property where they have been family owned and operated since 1945.
PROJECT
While they already had a well-established local reputation, Bruce Nursery needed to make a move into the modern age.
We began working with Bruce Nurseries when they were in need of a website. At the time they did not have a website, and they didn’t want to lose customers who were searching for them online.
After the website was completed, we began managing their Facebook page and created a digital marketing strategy.
SOLUTION
Prior to creating a website, as we always do, Piece of Mind conducted extensive research to define Bruce Nurseries target audience and their buying journey. From this research, we were able to develop a strategy for the website and digital marketing that is focused exclusively on that audience and serving their need.
Piece of Mind created a website in WordPress where customers could not only view their hours of operation, location and contact the nursery but they also have the ability to browse the selection of plants growing at their nursery.
After finalizing the website we continue to maintain the content. We keep the site up to date with new photos and information on the plants growing at Bruce Nurseries.
As a way of driving traffic and engagement, we also created a Facebook page for the nursery. With most of their audience skewing over the age of 30, and predominately on Facebook, we found this was the best platform for engagement.
We developed a digital content strategy with original campaigns that will help educate customers during each stage of their buying journey.
During our continued work with Bruce Nurseries, we not only implement our digital marketing strategy, but we also develop and design their printed catalogs as needed.
CONCLUSION
Running Bruce Nurseries is a lot of hard work, leaving little time for brand building or strategy, especially digitally. Piece of Mind takes the hassle out of marketing so that they can get back to what they do best – growing remarkable plants.
